AGAIN: IF YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH US, GO TO INDUSTRIALPARKRECORDS.COM - WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT MYSPACE AND RARELY CHECK IT.
Industrial Park Records was founded in 2003 in East Williamsburg Industrial Park, Brooklyn. We are a working band's label, run by artists for artists. Our goal is not to become the "biggest", but rather the smallest, most focused label we can be. At the moment, we're rebuilding from the ground up. We put our heart and soul behind our work, and we are relentless. We make music and art we can stand behind, pure and simple. We don't make promises to our artists that we can't keep, and we always try to provide a start for smaller bands to allow them to grow. We don't make corporate moves that crush the craftsmen we represent. We pride ourselves in our filtration of commercial garbage faux "art" so that we can provide a platform for true artists who actually have something to say, and we help connect those artists to true fans on a grassroots level. In the end, we believe that our commitment to quality will speak for itself. We strongly encourage you to listen.
Our commitment to our artists is paramount, and our approach has nothing to do with the way many labels have traditionally operated. As of today, we've been fortunate enough to have the ability to operate on the following philosophy for the entire duration of our existence thus far: At Industrial Park we believe it's our purpose to act as a positive vessel to help artists achieve their vision and to help provide people with creative expressiveness to enhance people's lives. All of our relationships with our artists are based upon a handshake deal. The idea is that if things are going well organically and everyone is happy, both the label and the artist will want to continue working together. If not, we don't want to be locked into an unhealthy binding contract and neither do the artists we aim to support. We want everyone to be happy and approach each other with honesty and integrity, and we make every effort to exclusively surround ourselves with good, like minded artists. As there is no expectation that any particular thing is going to happen, we simply make the most of each day and each opportunity as it presents itself. We help artists to the best of our ability with the resources that are available to us and they make art as it comes from them. Simple as that. We stick by the idea that the contract is meaningless and while people think they are protecting themselves with pen and ink, these agreements only serve to impose restrictions that may not have any real positive application for either party at any given time. This can only serve to engender bad feelings in many cases, such as if the label overextends itself and is forced to spend money begrudgingly where it cannot be recouped, or if a band is faced with limitations as agreed to in a contract that may not serve their best interests at any given time. If things are working organically, they will continue to, and we will continue to want to work together in support of each other. If not, there is no pressure to stick to an unhealthy commitment on any body's end, and we willingly allow each other to part ways amicably. As the majority of the music industry finds itself in the midst of complete collapse, things keep getting better for us every day, and we are truly thankful for all of our relationships and blessings. Thank you so much for all of your support!
We've been fortunate enough to make some great frients and support some incredible artists who legitimately have something to say, including:
