This Thursday @ the Vollrath we are going to have an awesome crowd. A service industry night for Indy’s downtown servers and bartenders with a ticket giveaway to see 311 and Ziggy Marley and tickets to see the Fray. Anyone that comes will be eligible to win. This night will also be an open stage for Indy’s musicians to come in and show off their skills to this crowd. What a great way to create a fan base by playing for Indy’s concierges. We’ve had awesome players come the past few weeks including Jascha, Jason Hathaway from Tecumseh flyers, Nikki Smith, High Tide Trio, The band Fairview, Jon Strahl, Dan Bent, Live Animal, Pete Justice, Dancin Mike Grimmitt from NHBG, Jon & Denise Martin, Dr. Miles and Zombeater, Lounge soundsystem, and sooooo many more. The open stage will start around 8:00p.m.-????? Never know, if you’re that good you might find yourself headlining your own show one night. I hope to see and meet alot of you this Thursday. P.S. We will supply the pa, an acoustic ovation, Fender strat, Pearl drum kit, bass, bongos, and the crowd. Please feel free to bring whatever you need to help create a great evening of awesome music and a good time

well, it has been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, I Remember, is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!
to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of Now Is The Time in exchange for a valid email address. Now Is The Time is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote: we are living in turbulent times. suddenly it is okay to be greedy and heartless? no way! a song of hope for our future, a new vision of America and the world.
we have a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what is your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.
anyhoo, the FREE DOWNLOAD, and the FUN, begins at www.JAETCHISON.com
I look forward to getting to know you a little better, and I thank you SO VERY MUCH for your friendship and support!
please tell your friends about JAETCHISON.com, and ask them to sign up for the email list, too! FUN things are coming up!!
peace from Atlanta, Georgia, USA,
J.A. Etchison

I just wanted to thank you for coming aboard and becoming friends, and to let you know what Indy openstage is all about. I am not a musician myself but I have a true love for music. I surround myself with alot of good souls that have the same love and a beautiful gift to play. It's hard for me to ever find the time to get out and enjoy live music. So I decided to create A day that I could bring alot of different musicians together to share their craft with people like me.(music lovers) I figured if we did this on a consistent basis that it would be a great way to network in person as well. Come find the drummer or bassist that your band truly deserves. The Vollrath is a neighborhood (speakeasy)tavern that has been around since 1926. It's in a up and coming community that needs people like us to help support it. Ten years ago I never would've stepped foot in there but now I think it's one of Indy's best kept secrets. I really like the new owner and everything he has done to make it a comfortable lil music hall. He hired this cat named RJ to manage the bar and stage and I do think this place will be the next best thing for Indy's music seen. www.myspace.com/vollrath
The first open stage was a success considering it was put together through word of mouth in a weeks time. alot of great players came out. This week we are adding a mearchants table for anyone to display their info or to sell t-shirts or cds, anything they want to do to promote their music or art. I really look forward to meeting you.
