Known for his ability to freestyle endless melodies and create surreal landscapes, Matisse is that rare musician who grasps each level of music.
Matisse Francois practiced his chops playing the live cover band circuit in Canada and created a name for himself through his band Matisse & the Playground. They released the live album "Matisse & The Playground Live @ the Shuffle Party" which became a favorite among party goers in Toronto.
He later went on to produce and write the R&B solo EP "The Five Frame" interlude which gained him regional attention and fans. He later released his follow up EP "Love Life N lust" which featured the single and Video Round N Round.
IN 2007 he hooked up with World Champion Dj jr flo and created the live remix group Keys N Krates. Since its creation, Keys N Krates has captured critical and commercial acclaim. They are currently rated in URB magazines next 100, and are touring North America.
Steadily putting out live remixes with Keys N Krates and on the side releasing his own solo projects, Matisse Francois is carving a very unique niche for himself, part musician, part singer, part producer. Whatever hat he is wearing, the music has always been all good.
