Infernal Scourge is a
musical project solely by me, Arthas; music, lyrics, and vocals. Infernal
Scourge came into existence at the beginning of 2004. The name ‘Infernal
Scourge’ initially was inspired from human suffering and my inner demons. My
musical style went through a great deal of changes since the beginning of
Infernal Scourge. Starting from neoclassical, death metal and gradually
changing into darker blacker music. During this journey of musical composition,
I have finally found my true calling and discovered my soul. Infernal Scourge
writes music by natural inclination. I don’t limit and follow strictly any
musical genres and styles. My doors are open to any music that captivates me. My
forged style in time is Symphonic, Melodic Black Metal with stand
out Gothic elements, and a touch of Celtic. I don’t want to say Infernal
Scourge is pure Black Metal, although Black Metal is a considerable influence to
me. I have a deep interest in mysterious dark themes and enchanting eerie
melodies. One thing is certain with Infernal Scourge; the unquenchable thirst
for the knowledge of the dark. Honesty is an important element for the music of
Infernal Scourge. Doing music is an innate desire and force within me since I
don’t compose for commercial purposes. I write music that comes from the depths
of my darkened soul. In the present, I am working on the songs for the
explicitly dark concept album ‘Ella’ which is distinguishably different compared to its predecessor.
For one thing the songs are of a normal length that will hold the listeners
attention the whole way through; no more exceedingly long songs. The songs
follow the same theme throughout the album, and are theme related; unlike the
other album. Infernal Folklore had an eclectic nature and the songs were not
very related to each other. More creative structuring and composing went into my
new album ‘Ella’. It isn’t just an impromptu of riffs added together. The riffs
are thoroughly planned and put together. The guitar work goes from brutal
malicious dissonant black metal riffs, to technical solos, to catchy romantic
melodies; depending on the songs and parts. The vocals have a wide range of
multi-dimensional growls and screams. Keyboards are used in dark classical epic
arrangements of instruments, and melodies.
There once was a time in the land where the sun was worshiped as god and its embrace with the moon made the earth hold its breath as time stood still in silence, and at that hour the smothered sun shall cloak the whole world in the dead blackness of midnight giving birth to the Element Of Eclipse.

Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
