Born from the ashes of the typical local rock band, Infidel attempts to bring professionalism, energy, and dedication to the love of music to the masses. Realizing that music is a universal language, the members of Infidel wish to bring to bear a more philisophical, intelligent, and interesting message to the music lover. Infidel's goal is to tear down the borders that keep us all tagged and catagorized by society, hense the name infidel. For those not in the know, the true meaning of Infidel is simply one whom does not accept a particular idea, theory, religion, tradition, or philiosophy. That being as it is, everyone is an Infidel to something. In that, we can all embrace the differance to become a complete and diverse species, able to overcome any obstacles or challenges, if we all work together as a team. Diversity has also been said to be the spice of life.
The band members are a tribute to this diverse team we call Infidel. Here is a short quick snippet about each member and what they offer to the sound of Infidel.
Karl Hepler [Vocals / Guitar] - Karl uses Hepler brand custom Larynx to project the vocals that translate the music verbally. Powerful and melodic, his vocals are meticulously crafted to get the desired ideas across. Karl's guitar playing is intricately interwoven with Tommy's riffs and melodies to create a dense and full spectrum. Often adding a lead element to the songs and/or creating a particular effect to further enhance the song.
Tommy Johnson [Guitar] - Tommy speaks with his Guitar. Powerful and driving riffs and beautiful melodies. Occasionally adding a lead element, Tommy is more focused on driving the song and keeping things rocking. Tommy's phenominal sense of riffs and changes is no more prevelant than in the newest song "Ore" which features 8 seperate and distinct melodies all put together in a very interesting and complex way. You have to see it live to feel it's full effects.
Andrew Faulknier [Bass] - Andrew adds a depth to the band that is both integral and inspiring. Not only does he fill the sound with melodic and grooving bass lines, but he also adds counter-melodies as well as atmospherical and sometimes leadlike accents. Often working closely with Chris to keep the Rythym section in tight cohesion, Andrew is both percussive and melodic. Often going from running bass lines to slaps and sometimes both.
Christopher McKinney [Drums] - (From 2005 until the bands final show in 2006.)
