Philadelphia-born iNFiNiEN combines eclectic musical personalities into a visionary, unified force. With rock, jazz, soul, world, and classical influences, the quartet plays intricately composed songs with a focus on improvisation. After playing together for four years, iNFiNiEN has discovered its own voice both live and in the studio. Their diverse influences are portrayed, but the sound produced is unique. iNFiNiEN has been compared to Bjork, Radiohead, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and John Zorn’s Masada.

Far from the typical rock band, they explore new territories of sound by using exotic scales, chords, and rhythms. The drums project driving tribal beats, mixing elements of hardcore, funk, and jazz. The bass guides you through a complex and constantly changing web of deep grooves. The guitar and keyboard create a wash of texture and colorful melodies. The fluid female vocals add a strong emotional element through soulful poetry and deliberate dynamics. iNFiNiEN stirs listeners through a moving musical adventure.

"Calling it "fusion" isn't even entirely correct, since that smacks of cocktail parties and easy-listening boredom. This is the sublimation of styles, a group of highly trained players sacrificing their training for the sake of something more exciting."-Philadelphia City Paper

"iNFiNiEN’s set is dynamic and energizing, with Loftus rolling her head and emoting like a languid seductress. The music is moody, jazzy, lounge-y and dramatic, with dissonant chords resolving into melody and tinkering Middle Eastern sounds. For most of their set, they’re joined by New Orleans saxophonist Kyle Cripps, whose jazzy playing adds another layer to their sonic creations. Their last track, “Perpetual Twilight,” is 10 minutes long, and devolves into a raucous, thrashing collage of sound. It’s the perfect end to a long evening, and I leave feeling like the possibilities for music are truly infinite."-Phrequency.com

Hey, thank you guys so very much, you guys completely blew our minds, it would be a pleasure to play with you again. I appreciate the your efforts to get us on a bill in Philly, and we would be down to play any show you book in NYC! Just let us know in advance, especially if you need another band, equipment, etc. Keep in touch! -Cinque-

i was a little bit discouraged after i heard you guys. You could only do so much when you have limited skill on an instrument, and when i saw you guys play.. i was just simply amazed.. not only cause it was so complex.. but because it was extremely different. I thought to myself.. shit we need to practice more.. and fri night just proved to me how much we need a key female vocalist.. we have been searching FOR EVER!!  but either way im glad you guys had fun.. you guys just blew my mind.. and im not trying to suck you guys.. its just truth.. there is no band out there like you guys..
kudos

p.s this is brian.. and lets us know what's up with the show.. we are always down.. and we are trying to cook something out here for a 4 band show.. infinien/tea club (if they still exists)/saturn unleashed/jellybean fiasco

talk to you guys soon
thank you

I finally finished up a project I have been working on closely with my homie DJ Trippin' over the past few months. The idea was to take a handful of my freestyles, studio tracks, and b-sides I've recorded over the last year and combine them all to a 1 track mix. All mixing, scratching, and juggling was performed by DJ Trippin'. The effort is available for high quality download by clicking the cover below!
