  • Bio

Dazu ließ man in echter Rockstar-Manier Sänger Martin Klein extra aus New York einfliegen.

Contact & booking

Modern power metal with lots of thrash metal influences, downtuned guitars, frantic double bass attacks and powerful and melodic vocals.

Praised by the press as "pure Hard'n'Heavy" and "most hopeful newcomer in Germany", the German band InfiNight have already gathered a faithful and constantly growing fan community with their modern Power-Thrash metal. .

Music

Downtuned guitars and complex arrangements provide for a modern touch in InfiNight’s music. Combining them with electrifying melodies and mighty choruses, carried by powerful double bass drums and a distinctive bass guitar, InfiNight create their unique brand of power metal. Still, first and foremost, the complex vocal arrangements make the band stand out from the mass of bands in the genre.

On stage, InfiNight always show untiring energy and enthusiasm. The band's intensive performance and the close contact to their audience make each InfiNight concert an impressing experience, which won't be easily forgotten. Today, InfiNight's live-programm spans more than two hours and mainly includes powerful Power- and Thrash Metal songs. Some melodic and emotional compositions let you recover your breath and follow the band onto a journey to other worlds.

The band does not commit itself to a certain, limited musical direction. Instead they try to mix and change the the well-known ingredients to develop their own, unique style. Still, if we are pressed to compare, there are some parallels to bands such as Metallica, Nevermore, Iced Earth or Brainstorm, which is also confirmed by many reviews.

History

then…

InfiNight was formed in spring 2001 by singer Martin Klein, guitarist Marco Grewenig, and bassist Kai Schmidt. Guitarist Dominique Raber and drummer Hendrik Reimann joined the band a few weeks later. With this lineup InfiNight started rehearsing cover-versions of well-known classics like "Master of Puppets" by Metallica. However, after only a few rehearsals InfiNight decided to further concentrate on writing their own songs. In 2002, after some club gigs, InfiNight had their first big concert in front of about 1000 guests at the "Impression musicale" in Illingen.

2003 saw further appearances in and around the region's capital, Saarbruecken, on several city festivals in the Saarland and finally as support for the German Melodic-Metal band "Freedom Call" at the Neunkircher city festival, in front of over 1300 visitors. InfiNight also recorded their first demo CD "Demo-Lition" in 2003.

In February 2004 the first full-lenght album "Sea of Knowledge" followed, containing nine songs and almost one hour playing time. Recording and mixing took only only two weeks at the SU2-Studios in Sulzbach, in co-operation with producer Phil Hillen. After that, InfiNight mainly focused on writing new songs in 2004. However, besides a few concerts, they also managed to win a fifth place out of more than 250 bands in the "Apllo Music Competition" in the same year.

In 2005 InfiNight finally published their long expected CD "Sea of Knowledge". Shortly thereafter, the CD's opener "The Swarm" as well as the band’s smash hit “Goodbye, cruel world” were republished on the "Saar Sound Demo Sampler 2005/2006". The Titeltrack „Sea of Knowledge“ was featured on the „Nighthawk Compilation“ (2005) and mentioned in several reviews. In the same year the band played some bigger concerts as well as some gigs outside the Saarland. InfiNight shared the stage with the German Pagan Metal band "Adorned Brood" and the German/Romanian Metal band "Power Wolf", as well as with the Swedish Heavy Power Metal band "Nocturnal Rites". Additionally, the band was proclaimed winner of the Newcomer Band Award on Connys-Radioshow (radio project 2005, Leverkusen).

In 2006, InfiNight won the local Wacken Metal Battle competition in Saarland as well as the south-semi-final of the Wacken Metal Battle in Aschaffenburg. This earned them the biggest gig in the band’s history: A performance at the Wacken Open Air 2006, supporting bands such as Motörhead, Nevermore and Six Feet Under.

In May 2007 InfiNight continued their journey by playing a support show for BATTLELORE (FIN) at the Earthquake metal-festival. Support shows for ROSS THE BOSS (USA), SABATON (SWE) and THUNDERBOLD (NOR) were already fixed, but had to be cancelled due to a sudden case of illness. In July InfiNight headlined the „Umsonst & Draussen“ festival in Mössingen with more than 2500 visitors. In October the band played a support show for SILENT FORCE (GER) at their only show in Germany in this year.

In 2008 the band played lots of local gigs in front of various and variying audiences, yet the highlight of 2008 didn’t come before November, when Infinight were offered to open for no less than CHILDREN OF BODOM at the Garage in Saarbrücken, playing to an ecstatic crowd of more than 1200 metalheads.

…and now

2009 saw fewer gigs, as InfiNight were preparing to enter the studio for the second time. Recording was finished in June, and Infinight are currently mixing their second full-length album which is due to be released in Spring 2010. We’re still open for record deals! 2006.
