87'-89', and 93'-95' hip-hop are my influential eras for me. As far as artist go I always loved Big Pun, I check for Rass Kass, Ghostface (Wu-Tang Clan), Nas, Dilated Peoples, Fat Joe, and AZ.
Sounds Like
It sounds like Me!! Bangin beats wit introspective lyricism. Though I have several influences I dont think you can pin point me to any artist styles.
I statrted rhymin wit friends for fun like a lotta young dudes in they early age when rap was really poppin in like 85.' It pretty much stayed the same for me jus feestylin on somebody's stoop at 9 to bangin on tables in high school. I didn't get serious wit it til college wit my man Rollo Fleetwood. We would jus spit off the instrumentals our man DJ Soundboy would spin in his dorm. We did a few hole in the wall appearances around campus and decided to give it a try as a group called Actual Facts. We never released anything as a group but we recorded at least 10 cuts. Then graduation came and we moved to different spots and started our 9 to 5's. It wasnt until a few years ago I decided to give it another try and record an album wit a few friends of mine who were producers. I called it The Testament and I performed at a few local spots around Columbus,Oh (Pub 161, Scarlet and Gray cafe, Little Brother's, and Hi-Five Bar). Being very wet behind the ears and without solid support and knowledge our coalition kinda faded away and it didnt pop off. Armed wit a lil more knowledge and confidence I'm back wit a new one called Greatness Deferred and I'm ready to showcase my talent to the city and the rest of the masses out here. This is a breath of fresh air for those wantin to hear something different then the same ol' same in hip-hop.
I just wanted to say thanx for makin the connection and I wish you a safe week! I respect myself enough to respect the people I meet. Remember one thing, the whole purpose in life is to have fun and enjoy.... Here's my new video, its not availible anywhere. Your part of my special circle. take care MAKO

A while ago I came across some stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, the fundamentals are still relevant today.
