Bio
.. .... From the early beginnings of jam sessions as friends, through to the hell-raising and crowd pleasing antics on their tour of the North Island. The members of Infinite Flying Kick have been making their own brand of angular, spiritual rock. .... Initial gigs to sleepy crowds in archaic theatre buildings have gradually transformed into epic performances to audiences both plainly fixated and crazily wild, and one thing's for sure, an IFK show is different every time. Feel good and fast paced, or a slow burning rock-opera classic, you never know what might happen, or who might jump up on stage. .... Each member of the band brings something a little different to the concoction, and this results in a recipe for a highly original, compelling and refreshing sound, something which is mightily showcased on the band's debut E.P - "Checkmate" released in November 2006 to a crowd of strangers, friends and lovers at Galatos Basement. .... Several Tracks from the E.P have garnered airplay on many stations around the world, not least of which was Kiwi FM, where the single "Mr. Sad Robot" achieved top 5 status in the top ten charts. .... No strangers to the exposure and demands of print media, radio interviews and television appearances, IFK have been popular with all forms of media. .... The band is working on a follow-up release, which promises to build on the strengths of "Checkmate" as well as walloping the non-followers around the chops and confirming that this indeed is a band who make "music for when the world evolves". .... IFK's enthusiastic group of friends and loyal followers have seen the band perform at all Auckland venues, parties, the Auckland Art Gallery as well as two tours of the North Island. ....
