Bio
______________________________________________ INFINITE : ""If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is. Infinite." –William Blake MOKSHA : The state of being releived from Samsara, from the rebirth circle. The state of constantly being seeking for your innerself. Born in 2005 under Montreal City's blue skies, Infinite Moksha wrote about ten songs before entering the studio in 2005 to record what is now known as "Fighting against the sleeping pills", a post-rock recital with progressive and grunge overtones, using a symbolist and bilingual poetry as a means of expression. The record is a perfect blend between beauty and aggression, poetry and (Nietzschean) philosophy, the myths and the mystic leading critics to call it Nu-Goth (Mirror Magazine, August 2005). The songs centre on a major theme: the problem of idleness in the Western world and speaks of endless suffering: distress, chaos, despair, and loss of the will to act. Right after the album was released, the band headed on the road to perform around Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes. After five successful tours in Ontario, one on the East Coast and many concerts played all over Quebec, Infinite Moksha started getting some air-time on CISM (89,3), CIBL (101,5), Bandeapart.fm, Choq,fm in Montreal, CKIA (88,3) in Quebec City, CFAK (88,3) in Sherbrooke, CHQC (105,7) in St-John, NB, CHOQ (105,1) in Toronto, CKCU (93,1) in Ottawa and countless others. A second album featuring four tracks was recorded in 2008, titled, "Là où l'hiver mugit de rage, rugit de mages". The album shows a more accomplished sound that will soon help the band to gain more airtime on underground and college radio stations all over Canada in support of their new live show. After playing 175 shows in five provinces, including shows with Rasputina (Columbia Records), Patrick Watson (Secret City Records), Wintersleep (Labword Music), Yesterday's Ring (Aquarius Records), Arseniq33 (Indica Records), Subb (Stomp Records), Les Ékorchés (Indica Records), MAP (Slam Disques), Les Dorothée (Tox Records), Jet Set Satellite (Loaded Dice Music), Nitrosonique, Flatlined (Voodoo Records), Midway State (Interscope), the band is finally ready to overcome all obstacles on its path and will prove it with its third album to be released in winter 2011. .. .. .. .. .... .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .." /> .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. -
