Soon you will be everything.
They give us crumbs and say we should be satisfied. I demanded everything.
The Infinite Orchestra is part pop band, part symphony — spectacular vocals, drums, cello, violins, keyboards, guitar, and bass. The result? Art music you can dance to! Epic compositions with catchy riffs, danceable grooves, and wild keyboard tunes combine elements of rock, electronica, hip-hop, jazz, orchestral and chamber music. It’s like nothing you’ve ever heard before!
Our first CD was released at the Knitting Factory last April. Listen.
Ben Morss played piano and arranged for Cake’s album Prolonging the Magic, played on the latest album by Wheatus (of Teenage Dirtbag fame), and helped create a beat for Mary J. Blige (which never got used, but, still!). He also ran The Pilgrims, a poppy punk band that made the charts of college radio stations nationwide, and played with acclaimed acid-jazz band 11:11 at venues like SXSW and NXNW. And he’s a classically trained composer to boot.
If that wasn’t enough, Lucas Steele was recently in Threepenny Opera on Broadway, and Shawn Setaro used to play bass with the Lordz of Brooklyn. Oh, and Dan can sometimes be found playing in the pit of Avenue Q.
