"Lyrically smart, the crux of Infusion's success and cause for their growing following lies in their spontaneous and impassioned live sets, taking crowds at Fabric, Renaissance and beyond by storm." - URB Magazine
"For the uninitiated’s, Infusion’s electronic landscape sounds incredibly at home when played alongside the music of Hybrid, New Order and David Bowie. Indeed. It’s electro, its rock. It very much represents the here and now." – Michael Paoletta, Billboard Magazine.
"Infusion really blew me away, I was very impressed with their live set & I’m not just saying that because their from Oz wither. They were ace." – James Zabiela at WMC 2003
Its not an easy life being a non-stop touring muso on the road you know… hours waiting in airports for flights, t-shirts in your bag that smell like they’ve been used as kitty litter, fighting off backstage rats trying to steal your beer and vodka…but yeah we have to say there’s been some pretty awesome gigs we’ve played at - like headlining a stage in Denmark for the Roskilde Festival, out in the desert at Coachella and playing to 30,000 people at Creamfields in Argentina. But also we’ve hit some pretty exotic locales, like Phillipines where we were dropped off in a seaplane to headline a Fashion Week party with models aplenty. We had to walk our gear to the beach in waist deep water, or in Hungary – where a non-English speaking driver drove us all the way along a cliff past traffic to get us to the airport to make it on time. Not much time to check out the countryside when you are staring down a dark tunnel of impending death! We’ve dealt with one too many dodgy gangster type characters in the club underworld where we now know the best thing is to shut up, perform, get your money and get the hell outta there! In Romania we travelled 4 hours to a beach party where there was a DJ booth and no stage. Or the UK festival drudging through mud to get to the main stage only to find the generator has failed and you are stuck looking out into a bug-eyed wet but wanting more crowd!! There was the party in one country where the Princes son shut down the City Mall to host an after party for us – now that was pretty mad. We’ve played alongside luminaries such as David Bowie, N.E.R.D, Basement Jaxx and even played just before the revered New Order at a gig in Sweden. .. The last count we did - we’d worked out we’d played in 39 countries and 123 cities.
Pretty much in the end - whether good or bad or wet or dry - the best gigs always end up being the ones where the sound has been perfect, the crowd have been dancing and we’ve had plenty of beer and vodka in our rider – you can’t really top that!!
We cant wait to get back on the road with our new songs to see where else we end up. Check out our blog for regular updates on our touring shenanigans!
I miss you guys and still have the signed poster from your last show at Buzz in DC hanging on my wall! Can't wait to hear your new stuff! Come back to DC!!!
"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music" -- Kristen Wilson, Nintendo Inc. 1989
