I grew up with the soprano voice of my mum singing classical and traditional music all day long. My father is a piano player and a walker. On Sunday mornings we walked through the woods whistling ‘Peter and the Wolf’.

In 1993 the river near our village decided to cross her borders. Our house was flooded and my uncle came to visit us in his kayak. We sealed the piano with plastic garbage bags and moved upstairs with the Christmas tree. Many years later I wrote a song about it.

In summer 2000 I left high school with a tape in my hand that my German teacher gave me after he heard me singing. It turned out to be the best lesson I ever learned: Ani Difranco – Living in Clip

Winter 2001 I moved to Berlin to find pure poetry in a cold and frosty coal cellar. Embraced by the warmth of my 'kachelofen' and the company of the city I wrote letters and poems to my family and friends to tell them about the spotless sky, the frozen lakes and the colours in the streets.

Three years later I left the academy of art with a heartfelt passion for poetry and beauty rushing through my blood. I bought a guitar, learned myself the skills of guitar playing and started to write songs. In 2006 I recorded my first EP. From Summer 2008 until now I have been working on my upcoming album which is nearly finished.
