About me: who is Inhabited???
Sara Delight*: vocals
Marcus: guitar
Charlie: drums
justin: guitar
paul: bass
how they got started...
In 1999, Marcus and Sara Acker were asked to lead worship for their church youth group. Sara sang occasionally at
church and Marcus had just begun playing guitar, but there was never really any thought about merging the two. Not too long after that their youth pastor asked them to write some songs and play them at a lock-in, so that's what they did.
The opportunity was definitely the jump-start that propelled them into 2003, where Inhabited was formed, and hit the scene with its independent project, Innerview. The album was the product of a burning passion to make a lasting impact on their generation and make history. In turn, doors began to open for Inhabited, and they began taking their music nationwide.
Some might say Inhabited officially launched its career with a memorable radio interview in small-town Conroe, Texas. The local deejay handed Inhabited?s album to Nashville, Tenn. promoter Kyle Fenton, who helped propel its single ?Rescue Me? into the Top 10 on Christian Rock radio.
When record labels began asking about this rock band with the passionate lead vocalist, it became evident that Inhabited?s journey was only beginning. Its vision is crystal clear on The Revolution, which was Inhabited?s debut label release from Fervent Records.
Inspired by a mission to connect with this generation, Inhabited combines its passion for music with a burning desire reach beyond the surface to the heart of its audience. Although Sara?s focus had always been missions, it soon became obvious that God was calling her to a different kind of mission field. ?Never before in my life have I been more certain about where I?m supposed to be?? says Sara.
Inhabited knew they had a mission and would pursue that no matter what. They didn?t just go looking for a record deal knowing that with or without it, they were where they were supposed to be. ?Sara and I decided this was the path we would take,? says Marcus. ?And we knew we didn?t need a record deal to start playing shows or to record a CD.?
Eventually choosing to partner with Fervent Records, Inhabited soon began work, compiling songs for the band?s first national project. Topping Marcus? list of desirable producers was Monroe Jones, who is responsible for shaping the careers of such notable artists as Third Day, Chris Rice, Mark Schultz, and Ginny Owens.
..
?Monroe looked at our songs and found an element in each one that defined ?our? sound.?? says Marcus. ?He really worked to help us identify ourselves musically.?
Inhabited is blessed to have members who share the same vision and passions, and though they have been through several band member changes through the years, the heart beat of the band has been a constant. They believe the stage is a powerful and influential platform which they are called to use to breathe a message of life into this generation! ?It is our destiny??says, Sara
All this has made Inhabited who they are today!!
