"The menacing shadow and sneer of Billy Idol is cast over the tight-knit guitar intricacies of Gang Of Four, and the result borders on dance-ability. In Isolation aptly combine the regal misery of Kitchens Of Distinction with soaring, star-reaching pop ambition. Drenched in haunting 1980s synth, the band successfully bring elements of the old into the new with hook-laden guitar work and infectious, driving drums. Black clad frontman Ryan Swift deftly wraps his articulate new-romantic tongue around his bandmates' cold, dark blend of stadium-sized anti-euphoria. They've ploughed the depths of yesterday, let's just hope tomorrow is theirs."

New Wave for the Noughties
Reviewed by Sarah Morrison
"In Isolation are a four-piece from Nottingham, UK, who have created an interesting indie sound which tips its hat to the post punk sounds of the 80s, with their debut track 'The Wrong Girl'. It’s a damn catchy song which keeps you interested throughout with clever lyrics, subtle guitar licks and a good breakdown in the middle, complete with echoey backing vocals and a refreshingly non-predictable guitar solo.
With generous handfuls of punchy guitars, synthy backing and crisp, clear vocals you can hear the new wave influence, but it’s not direct – it’s like they’ve ransacked the 80s and pilfered it’s best bits, whilst adding their own modern indie sound.
They’re playing numerous gigs around Nottingham over the next few months (check their myspace for details), and as I currently hang my hat in that very city I personally can’t wait! See you there guys."

"Last up is In Isolation, looking the part in shirts and ties. As they kick into the set with Cloning Eve it is immediately obvious that they are a tight band, layering guitars, distorted bass, synth and drums. There are slight eastern vibes throughout the set, especially in Head-Slain. The lead guitarist stands on stage looking cool and collected throughout the set and playing wonderfully.
In Isolation stand out because they do what a lot of bands don’t do anymore, they seem to be playing from the heart."
