Label based in Paris, France, pushing forward a new generation of electronic musicians.
We are fans of all kinds of electronic music, and are actively looking for fresh new talent to develop our current roster, even in non electronic music.
Enola is the new project of French DJ Matthieu Monnin, who used to be
part of techno outfit Noirdegout. As Noirdegout they were discovered
by Initial Cuts who released 2 superb Eps, “Late Night Cities” and “A
Frog on the Beach”.
Now Matthieu is on his own, and he’s found his sound: melodious
techno, with strong 90s techno influcences, but with production values
of 2009.
The first EP extracted from the album, “Words in a Bottle”, features a
wonderful remix by rising star Rodriguez Jr, and the second one, “Lost
in Shibuya”, a remix by Swiss deep houser Quarion of Drumpoet Community.
The album is a 10 step journey through techno and electronica, fast
beats, strings, downtempo, all based on melodies, all grooving. Enola
is a child of the nineties, and was heavily influenced by Laurent
Garnier when he discovered techno music. Now he’s digested all these
memories and they all came out at once, and they’re all here in this
album.
To accompany this release, you will have the chance to see Enola DJ at
a club near you. Something you’ll never forget: far from mainstream
minimal/electro house highways, Enola is a top class DJ with a very
strong sense of communication with his dancefloor, a very carefully
chosen playlist, and an amazing mixing ability.

First extract of his forthcoming album Alone, Words in a Bottle sits right where we like to sit: at the border between house and techno. It’s got the funk, the rhythm, the tribal beats and bassline that make you move. And its got the techno soul too. Its got the devil inside, but still feeds your mind with atmospheric waves of deepness.
On the flipside, it’s also a matter of a member of a band gone solo: Rodriguez Jr is one half of French techno celebrities The Youngsters. On his own, he delivers the kind of remix you usually dream of but are never sure you’re gonna get. It’s a funky dark techno affair, with a killer hook.
