About me:
I live in the Arizona desert, where the plants know how to bite and the dandelions really do have thorns; in spite of these things--or maybe because of them--I'm think I live in one of the most stunning places on earth. My first novel for young adults, Bones of Faerie, is due out in January 2009. I've published four books for younger readers, most recently Secret of the Three Treasures, as well as more than 30 short stories. I also post a monthly story on my web site.

P.S. I agree with you - Arizona is beautiful. The heat absolutely murdered me when I was there (I was the pale british girl, clinging to the shadows, drinking water every two paces and whimpering) but I loved it there.

Howdy Janni! I'm just stopping by to say Happy New Year!

Paraworld Zero is coming out this month. One reviewer said it's "like Harry Potter meets Star Wars!" You can pre-order it from BN.com or Amazon.com for about $4 off right now.

Good luck on all that you do this year and keep in touch.

Hi Janni! It was nice talking with you and signing books next to you at TusCon. I hope to see you around at another convention. I was going to go to the Pheonix ComiCon but it looks like I might be going to North Carolina for a TV interview, 2 bookstore events and a library event instead. I've never been to the Phoenix ComiCon but I hear it's fun. Talk to you later!

Hey, you! Thanks for the add. We'll be back down in AZ at the end of October. Hope to see more of you this season. If you get a chance, check out my new novel, GIVING UP THE GHOST--my first book in nine years. It's been a long, hard decade, but it's nice to see light again...
