About me:
I am a woman of many passions, one of which is henna tattoos. I have been known to tattoo anyone who sits still long enough as once I get going it's hard to stop. Innana's House of Henna grew out of my love of henna, I needed more than my circle of friends to henna. I now provide a range of services including wedding henna, private parties and corporate events, workshop groups and individual tattoos. I like traditional henna and love to create new original designs as well. It's great working with someone to create a truly individual design for a more permanent tattoo or a special occasion. I try to photograph my designs as, being temporary, they are lost forever once the henna wears off (about 2-3 weeks). I have been studying henna for around 7 years so like an opportunity to pass on some of my knowledge. Of course the learning never stops and I hope to make it to the UK next year for the Traditional Arts of the Altered Body conference to further my henna art skills and pick up some new ones. For more information about Innana's House of Henna or to make a booking you can send me a message through this space.
Another passion is tribal style bellydance, I love the dance form, the costumes and the connection with my tribal family. What else can go with this but drumming, mostly middle eastern but I am interested in expanding my rhythmic horizons to new rhythms and drums. This kind of brings me full circle as natural hide drums are perfect canvases for henna art and they don't wear off so you can have a design that lasts forever.
I wiould like to add at this time big thanks to Annabella of the Australian Bellydance Directory http://www.annabella.net/bellydance/ for listing me in the henna artist section. This has been a great boost for my business so thanks Annabella, you ROCK!
