The Label:
Innit Records was founded in January 2005 by Hip-Hop artist Beit Nun, with the intention of gathering artists of various styles and backgrounds together in order to accomplish a refreshing variety of sounds and concepts, and to distribute this at minimal profit to bring new and original music to your stereo.
The first release; 'Beit Nun & Menace - Cheap As Chips : E.P.' (December 2005) created a general idea of what to expect from Innit Records. This demo/E.P. was limited to a run of 1000 pressings, and very few are still available to buy.
December 2007 saw Beit Nun's first solo release; a 14-track compilation CD consisting of previously recorded demo tracks and collaborations recorded over the previous 2 years, titled 'Where The Art Is (Volume 1)'.
In August 2008, Innit Records worked on, and also helped fund the 'UKHHF Mixtape (Volume 1)'; a 20-track compilation CD featuring artists such as 777, Respek-BA, Apocraphe, Baron Samedi, Text Offenders, SonnyJim, Dan Bull, Beit Nun and many more.
This was followed by the joint release of both Beit Nun & IllSkilz's 'Colours' E.P., and 777's 'Septimal' compilation CD, which were released on 28th December 2008. Both releases received excellent reviews and established both Beit Nun and 777 as artists to watch within the UK Hip-Hop scene.
Keep your eyes peeled for future Innit Records releases from all affiliated artists, and also on this page for exclusive tracks, as they will be uploaded as and when they are recorded.
