   About Innocent Civilian Project

ABOUT

The one and only album so far (can't afford anymore studio time at the moment) of this project ‘Play’ (2003) is a mixture of musical styles and spoken word. It follows a character through a story of pure liquid evil, escape, abuse at work, perceived class, religious stupidity, perversion, indulgence, depression and suicide…its good fun on those weak nights when you wonder about who would actually give a shit if you got that gun from 'that' person you know and shot your own face ache.

?

There are two complementary albums to ‘Play’......

Firstly to expand the abusive treatment at work element in ‘Play’ (‘Progress’ track 2), I wrote a blues album 'Day Release' (Formerly ‘Diary of a Somebody’ (2005)). This charts a day in the life in employment of the character. No one I have played this to likes it very much at all. I think its because some of it is blues blues, not pub fuckin rock. Or its just shit.

Secondly the suicidal feelings of the character, in ‘Play’ (‘Dark’ track 10) have been expanded in an old school reggae album ‘A Life in Minutes’ (2007) which has recently been described as 'astounding' and 'hypnotic' by Do The Dog Ska zine. To be honest I do know the bloke who said these things but I didn't pay him to. This album is due to be released under 'Ed Rome' by rockers revolt records on the 20th Oct 08.

THANKS

I’d like to thank all those musicians that have guested on these albums, namely Jim (drums), Bella (all saxes), Gary and Andy (trumpets). Also I'd like to thank all those people that have guided me in my life so as to secure me a lifetime of painting decorating and labouring, many thanks.
