It begun with transpirations from front-man Trent Powell (BSc) driven by an idea for musicality encompassing vast yet directive influences from European melody and hatred for conventional morals and modernity. .... In Obsidian accustom a wide range of musical influences which inspire a dynamic exploration into professional song writing. With enormous emphasis on harmonious minor melodies, sharp and powerful rhythm sections are connected through fluid motions of stringed architecture while percussion is maintained aggressively at its backbone. All spectrums of the dark sound-scapes are entwined with groove and emotion upon sinful attacks of melodic guitar solos and satanic lyric outlays to create western melodic black metal. .... In Obsidian has slowly consumed numerous members from a number of local bands over the years to reinforce its intensive nature to achieve a thoroughness of personnel. However, a solid but non-complete line-up has emerged in the final months of 2009 including; Adam Morrisson on bass, Michael Varlet on guitars, (Beyound Nightfall) Nicole Garity on Keyboards, (Ablaze Withsin) and Trent Powell on guitars and lead vocals (Archaea). All songs have been written and arranged thus far by Trent Powell and ex keyboard player Nicole Garity to be included in a forth coming E.P comprising 6 tracks recorded and produced by Trent Powell. .... The embattlement upon pathetic human inhabitance and illogical movements of organized religion strikes the ember that drives In Obsidian. Its music and projections of lyrical content is a validity of opposition to the formed world and its useless dependence on false gods and moral values. Embraced by the 11 angles of chaos is the sonic orb that one will experience through recorded content and live performances. .... Await the arrival !.. 218 .... ....
