In Pursuit Of formed in the winter of 2007 with their sights set on creating powerful and melodic rock whose music and lyrical content captured the unique passion thriving inside the members. As a band IPO believes that music is meant for more than mere entertainment but as art, as a vessel to express complex and profound ideas that can reach to the very core of an individual. Through their music they bring a message of life, hope and love to a world yoked with distress. IPO seeks to compose music rich with vibrant color, teeming with energy through a process of experimentation. In doing so, manifold sound styles, genres, instrumentation and performance techniques are explored and cross-pollinated yielding a product that is more than a song but an anthem. In Pursuit Of is a voice which invites the listener to engage in the matters relevant to the modern culture and captivates them with the euphonic marriage of melody, harmony and rhythm. .... Known for their energetic live shows, In Pursuit Of has already shared the stage with acts such as BEC Recording's artist Kutless, Sparrow Record's Above the Golden State, and Tooth & Nail's The Send. As you acquaint yourself with the band's music and concerts, you will quickly understand that In Pursuit Of has been more than just a rock band since the day they started. The foursome decided to take the name In Pursuit Of; a name the band feels is able to capture a glimpse of the relationship between God and man, for while man may pursue God, God is all the more pursuing him. .... “We hope this new demo can give listeners a good taste of what we are about as a band,” says frontman Ian Nelson. “The world is starving for hope and love, and we feel obligated to steer people in the right direction. We want listeners to know that fulfillment can only be found in Jesus Christ, amidst all the false voices of the world constantly battling for their allegiance.
