Hi there! I just wanted to stop by and show some cuz love. I hope you are doing well. I'm waiting to talk to Steph so we can finalize plans. I'll let you know asap. Have a great week. XOXOXOXO
Hi cuz! I just wanted to let you know that we are planning to come visit sometime around your birthday. We expect to have a fantastic time so you better be ready to party. Have a great day and I'll let you know when I have more details! XXOO
Happy 4th! I'm proud to say my brother is a vetran and you did a great job serving our country by getting drunk in Korea! Just kidding! But I am proud of you!
Hey bud, how are things on your end?? I recorded that song, like the others. In my bedroom with two condensor mics and cool edit pro. Right now, I'm focusing on practicing with my new bandmates but I'll still be doing the open mic thing when I can. Hopefully I'll bump into you one of these days.
Hi cuz!!! I saw the family this weekend but wish you could've been there... Gabriel is too cute! I'm trying to hear your music but I can't get it to play. It's hungup downloading or something. Anyhoo... you need some pics. Keep in touch and let me know when you come home. XOXOXO
sadly my german language studying has come to a screeching halt...in addition to my weekly volunteer commitment after work, i'm now seeing a new doc twice a week after work, so that leaves little time :-P
so glad your plans are progressing! you'd best keep me up to date on that.
Hey bud. I'm at work so I can't listen atm, but I will as soon as I get a chance. I've put up a couple new songs recently too, check them out if you will. I actually haven't moved too far from LB, i'm in Los Alamitos now. I'm going to start going back to ports this week or next, hopefully I'll see you there!
How was your christmas? Mine was good, went and saw my lil bros. I'm currently bored as bored can get. We should hang out sometime and get me outta my house!
Hey man... I did it again... You asked me a question and I forgot to get back to you about it. Sorry. Anyway, about the Rode, I haven't used that model, but have heard good things. I've used the NT5's (small diaphragms), for some orchestral recordings, and they have a very nice sound. The NT2 is an upgrade to the NT1, and has selectable pickup-patterns as well as frequency filter roll-offs, which are nice, but not entirely necessary... especially if you don't need to spend twice as much. So yeah, I'd recommend the NT1. Another option is a Groovetube GT55. It uses a tube, so gives a nice warm sound. Really great on vocals. It lists a little expensive, but you can get it for a good price if you shop around. My current favorite mic is an Audio-Technica AT4040, which you can get for about $300. The AT3035 I've heard is also very nice, and is about $200, and the AT2020 also does well and is only $100.
I used a Carvin CM90 condensor mic for the guitar and a Carvin CM87 large diaphram condensor for the vocals. I ran them into a Blue Tube pre-amp, then into the digital workstation.
The place is called the Welcome Cafe on PCH in Redondo. Wednesday nights, sign up at 7:30. Try it. It's a nice clean gallery/coffee house. No crowds lately. Normally we get three songs, but more if it's slow.
Haven't you got yourself an ident yet mate ? buzz me a bit later, might be able to help you out - will need some photos though - so don't say I didn't warn you....
