In 2005, ..Insicknia .. established themselves in the Danish metal underground with their self-financed debut "Now Entering…...Insicknia..". It showcased the band's skills for creating a form of brutal thrash metalcore that isn't afraid to step into melodic territories. This album almost with no exception received only positive critical response (apart from the justified comments on the album's insanely tasteless cover art) in underground magazines throughout the world. .. .. A range of live shows in their home country only confirmed that the music is as successful on stage as on record. This is a band whose live performances are always based on blood, sweat and loud, crushing metal. Since the release of "Now Entering…." ..Insicknia.. have played for large audiences and shared stages in both Denmark and Germany with such bands as Hatesphere, Illdisposed, Mercenary, Urkraft, and The Burning. A Danish mini-tour with renowned Danish metal bands Spectral Mortuary (signed to Mighty Music), Nembience and Rageborne destroyed the country in autumn 2008. .. .. Founding members Allan Sørensen and Christian Mindedahl have changed the line-up several times. After bass player Marco Bove became part of the songwriting team, the musical direction has become faster and more technical, and after parting with long-time vocalist Steen Knudsen, new vocalist Lasse "Garn" Lundgaard took the band's sound up a significant notch on the brutality scale. .. .. In 2007, a four-song EP "Ascent To the Sky", was recorded in four days with Christian Zalewski at the TrackZ studio and with former vocalist Steen Knudsen. This, like its predecessor, also gained a range of positive responses from the metal underground. The title track appears on the compilation cd "Downtown Metal Volume 9", now available on Amazon and iTunes. ..Insicknia.. have since recorded a full length album. .. .. The new album, featuring 11 songs, has recently been recorded at TrackZ studios with Chris Zalewski and will be mixed and/or mastered by an acclaimed producer.
