Insignificant Self is a group of musicians from the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan area. On guitars we have Karl blasting out the rhythm and Steve shredding out the leads like nobody's business. We have co-op vocalists, a towering Charley belting out harmonies and splitting heads with his gut busting growl. Then the enigmatic mind-fuck we like to call Mon-Kay spitting out the most disturbing blend of melodic-harmony in a very ugly way. We then have Mikey beating on the drums keeping time with a thunderous kick to the face. To thicken all of it up we have Justin throwing it down hard and deep on the bass. Our combined sound blends several elements stemming from an alternative grunge sound with modern and classic rock and metal influences, or as we like to call it "Insignificant Self".
As the collective original members of Insignificant Self were originally founded by Karl, the name Insignificant Self was the thought child of The Mon-Kay. It translates to how our individual roles in society are perceived by the corporate American government, as otherwise "insignificant". We are one of many voices of the voiceless, serving as a reminder that each individual person is unique and has the right to express themselves and stand up against injustices in our world. Although we do not try to force a political agenda on people, we do, for your consideration, share a perspective beyond the clutter of mainstream propaganda. Join us at the playground.

Thanks for the friend request! Our studio, 37 Studios operated by producer Matt Dalton is located in Rochester Hills right outside of Detroit, Michigan.
Bands can stay in the studio free of charge for the duration of their recording. A Red Roof Inn is across the street to book a day for showers, etc.
We are "all in" studio with an extensive list of gear, a fridge, microwave, lounge w/ PS3 and Wii, wireless internet and cable tv! Studio is 4000+ sq ft with an AMAZING live room for drums / guitar / bass
