and rofl, a carnie? hell no honey! this mob does audio/visual installs for events and seminars like the auto show etc. wherever you see a fat audio visual setup like those $15000 plasmas like a couple meters wide, they would have installed it. there are possibilities to travel around australia too, wherever we have jobs. apparently that's quite common the fella tells me. lottsa variety like internet cafes who want to hire a bunch of networked pc's, pubs and clubs, gigs that need fat sound systems and big screens, networked presentation rooms- it's gonna be off the hook! Totally my caper! I think I was pretty impressive overall. I will find out monday if some asshole managed to gank my job or not- I'm really quite worried as I want the job so bad, the waiting is fuckin killing me!
It only pays base 30k plus super, but there's basically unlimited overtime that the guy says you will always have a piece of so the average salary is gonna be 40k odd after all is said and done. Keep ur fingers crossed for me? :)

As for palacial, that is definately the best way to describe Dubai. Incredible buildings going up there every day. Really magnificent. I was truly upset to not get to stay a while as was planned. Stupid mf train.. U like the word palacial huh? How about serendipity? One of my fave's.
I have a job interview tomorrow morning with a place doing entertainment installs. Hopefully I will enjoy it, coz im sick of working jobs that pay well but leave you seriously contemplating jumping off a building or finding that last guy who called you and doing some outlandish shit to him.
Ahh I dunno. At this point, regardless of quality it's a case of "SHOW ME THE MONEYYY". Bad. :)
Lol yeah Nacho Libre wasn't that funny, but after how many hours of sleep dep and just drinking on the plane with nothing else to do it was tolerable.. :)
And yeah in Dubai, they sure do cater to whitey! Everything there is beautiful, the buildings are frigging palacial and what little I was able to experience was of very high quality and low cost. Win the lottery and take me with you? XD Melbourne is starting to piss me off. Need job.. waa..
yeah I got told off cuz during Ramadan you are supposed to be fasting so no eating, drinking or even smoking a ciggie within view of anyone if ur gonna break the rule!! I fookin walked outa the airport and immediately lit up naturally after the long-ass flight! So nice of them not to say anything XD (until the hotel that is) hehe me and another dude were doin 2 of the 3 forbidden things in plain public view lol! Still, sif I could pass up the chance for a coffee and smoke- travelling owns you hard. I couldn't sleep on the plane so I watched like 5 movies hehe Nacho Libre!! :D oh and Lucky Number Slevin! Brilliant film, u shud leech or rent it.
I was told it's reeeal cheap over there, like u can buy for example a nice watch that would be like $40 over here for about 6 bucks ;) I know the hotel was great value at any rate, check the photo of the continental brekky! It was a fat buffet, I shoulda taken closeups- the food was totally awesome. There was brekky sausage and all, I thought Dubai fell under the sacred cow type category, but I'm hardly worldly eh? :)
lol we came thru Dubai when we were goin to/comin back from Italy the other year! It's totally a sweet place- I wish we coulda stayed more than like 2 hours! A train we caught had engine probs, so we missed our planned flight and after catching the next available got to Dubai like 2 hrs before we were due to get our flight out!! Was such a bummer, they have awesome markets I hear- their currency is worth nothing compared to ours ;) I got a photo of me at the hotel room, we just had time to check in, take a shower etc, grab some fat brekky and bail! It was funny tho, I was standing outside the hotel and the concierge comes out and is like "omg wtf! its fken ramadan man get inside the lobby!! dont care if ur smoking- keep smoking inside, u aint allowed to eat or smoke outside during ramadan!!!" lol crapped my pants! :) Definately gonna go back one day.
