so basically, I appreciate all kinds of different artists. I'm all about Funk, Classic Rock, Jazz, Classical music, and of course, old school/underground Hip Hop. I love conscious, positive music. I try to be open minded though, so I just might be into anything you think I'd like (that isn't corporate, soulless pop crap).

I'm also really into purchasing albums, instead of just getting a song or two from an artist. I can't say I've got an album from every one of these musicians, but I wish I did. You really learn alot more about them when you allow them to present their music to you, instead of hearing it out of context from an MP3 you stole.

The best is to see them live. Obviously, thats impossible for some groups, but thats all the more reason to see the ones that are still alive and kickin' while they're in your hometown (or a couple cities over). Live music is the best!
Movies.. Pootie Tang, Schindler's List, The Big Lebowski (and anything by the Coen Brothers), Shawshank Redemption, Mallrats (and all the Kevin Smith movies), Chinatown, Napoleon Dynamite, Office Space, City of God, Four Rooms, Kill Bill, The Seven Samurai, Star Wars (the original 3), Dumb and Dumber, SLC Punk, Eddie Murphy Delirious (ICE CWEEEEEEAM!), Lord of the Rings, Friday, Fight Club, Endless Summer 1 & 2, The Legend of Drunken Master, anything funny, or exciting.
TelevisionCartoons mostly. Simpsons, Venture Bros., South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, Samurai Jack, Sealab 3031, The Daily Show, Def Poetry, the History Channel. I don't watch much TV (aside from sports), but my friend has TiVo and we'll watch these shows from time to time...
BooksI'm still reading a book called "The Illuminatus Trilogy". I also have a bunch of books on sustainability I'm working through, from WorldChanging to Cradle to Cradle. I'm also reading books about quantum physics, number theory, sustainable development, financing volunteer and non-profits, and other nerdy things. I like a good mix of non-fiction, mind expanding books, historical fiction, and the classics. ..
HeroesGandhi, Martin Luther King, Bill Drayton, Wil-Dog, James K. Polk, Jack Johnson, Dave Campbell, John Stewart, Chali 2na, John McCain, Barack Obama, Immortal Technique, Pete Carroll, Louis Armstrong, Teddy Roosevelt and Big Man Taft, Conan O'Brien, Gift of Gab, George Washington, Phil Hartman, and my grandparents. I'll always admire anyone who lives their life with humility, positivity, courage, integrity, and a dedication to excellence. ..

About me:
My name is Nick, and I'm one lucky kid. I've devoted my life to finding messed up situations that I can do something about, and then actually doing it. This takes me to all kinds of incredible places, and introduces me to the most fascinating people on earth. I'm doubly blessed to have a supportive family, inspiring and resourceful friends, and the good fortune to be able to appreciate the love that surrounds me. I try to show everyone I meet respect, and am constantly humbled by often its returned. Disrespect my friends or my family, and you'll quickly find out what a mistake that was. Feel free to send me a message, or to see some pictures of places I've been and things that inspire me, check out my website at Inspeyere.com, just click right here

I've also got a FLICKR ACCOUNT here too, click and it will pop in a new window

Who I'd like to meet:
Positive, intelligent, open minded, laid back badasses. People who question, people who entertain, people with talent, people with brains.

"In a nation with more people in prison than there are farming the land, it seems an unattainable goal"... wow... I love what you are doing... I am thinking of starting an indoor garden here. In the summer it gets 120 degrees so plants don't grow well outside but I'm thinking of making the garage or the extra room a garden... just don't want bugs in the house with the baby... we shall have to figure that one out. Keep changing the world Nicoli... you are doing an awesome job as usual!
