In a world where much of the music we are exposed to talks about money, power and sex, inSpiral Lounge will make a strong counter point by featuring a distinctly gentle and positive musical genre – ambient & global music. This wide and hugely creative genre will lay the soothing background to what aims to be a social hotspot of communication and ideas exchange. Rather than creating a dance club our focus will be on people experiencing people – set against a thought-inspiring ambience.
At inSpiral Lounge, we will be providing a wide range of entertainments, from established DJs and recording artists to live acoustic performances, films, poetry and spoken word. The environment will be specially tailored for the enjoyment of music, with the benefit of our state-of-the-art in house sound system. We will be placing a special emphasis on the showcasing of new talent, especially artists who make it their business to push the boundaries of style and content. The inSpiral Lounge music policy will run the gamut of styles from Dub, World Groove and Ambient, through newer expanding areas such as Glitch-Hop, Electronica, Ethno-Dubstep, Minimal, IDM and Folktronica, to name but a few!

• inSpiral Lounge is also a daytime eco café that trades in healthy organic vegetarian foods, raw juices and much more, aiming to inspire about healthy nutrition and beyond about the positive effect on nature that our choice to eat healthy has.
• Furthermore inSpiral Lounge is a multifunctional event space that caters for a large and inclusive variety of creative offerings, addressing crucial issues in a fun and achievable way.
• inSpiral Lounge is also a showcase organization for alternative technologies, sustainable energy consumption and forward thinking.
The premises in Camden will be developed with strict environmental concerns in mind. In our first developmental phase we promise to:
• Improve its insulation properties as much as possible
• Employ water saving features
• Employ low electricity lighting and utilities
• Materials will be sourced on their environmental and ethical merits, including their travel distance and energy consumption
• Various features such as part of the furniture or kitchen utilities will be second hand
• Recycling wherever possible
During the second developmental phase we will further our ethical vision to include:
• A renewable energy heating and cooling system
• Generate onsite wind energy via a QR5 wind generator
• Feature a large visible grass roof structure with excellent insulating properties
We recognize that multimedia and modern technology offer a unique vehicle to communicate in this day and age. We are therefore setting up:
• A multi-screen installation on every floor featuring more than 15 screens and projections throughout the venue
• Internet Access for public use
• Video Conferencing Facilities and Live
Transmission Capabilities
• Video Art (VJ) capacities
• Film display facilities (for screenings, documentaries, presentations etc)
• A high spec sound system that recognizes that the magic is in quality not in quantity
• A small stage that can feature small performances, speakers, electronic live PAs and even dance performances
Last year I had a vision to type in 5am on Google after completing a track at that moment in time. I found a poem by Allen Ginsberg called 5am which described how I was feeling right then.
So my purpose over the past year has been to capture that 5am vibe in sound and visuals. My journey has been further inspired by the works of Rumi, Maya Deren and Stan Brakhage
