The Inspirational Choral Ensemble is one of five choirs at Second Baptist Church of Atlantic City, NJ.
I.C.E. was formed in 1974 and was the brainchild of Rev. Milton L. Hendricks, who was the then Assistant Pastor to the late Rev. Dr. Isaac S. Cole. Thomas Jennings began his role as Minister of Music to the Inspirational Choral Ensemble at the tender age of 13.
I.C.E. has had the privilege of sharing our ministry across the country at concerts, revivals, anniversaries, civic events as well as accompanying the late Rev. Cole as well as our current pastor, Rev. Collins A. Days, Sr. to various events and services.
Our first obligation is to our church home. It is there that we are fed the Word and strengthened for our position on the battlefield. Our job, as Levites, is to prepare the hearts of men, women, and children, breaking up the fallow ground, to receive the Word of God. Our mission is to minister to the lost, encourage those in despair and low in spirit, and comfort the wounded and broken. Our purpose is to lead the congregation in the worship experience and usher them into the very presence of God with praise, for it is there that healing takes place. And our prayer is that God will anoint our singing, and that our message will lead all souls to Christ. We sing only for His Honor and His Glory!
In 2007, with the urging, love and support of Rev. and Mrs. Days as well as our church family we released our well anticipated CD project: “CONSECRATION!”
