Inspiration Isn't Cheap is a five piece progressive hardcore band from Troy and Rochester Hills Michigan.

Inspiration Isn't Cheap has started to develop a sound of their own. Inspired by bands such as Saosin, Underoath, A Skylit Drive, Broadway and Of Machines, Inspiration Isn't Cheap combines an aggressive hardcore style of music with a more subtle and alternative take on the genre.

Their words try to draw definition to their songs, every line has a meaning and is apart of the song's structure. Through symbolism and diction they are expressing their creative minds.

In summer 2010, Inspiration Isn't Cheap released their first EP, "Clockwork", produced by Craig Owens (D.R.U.G.S., ex-Chiodos) and Matt Dalton. Since the release of Clockwork Inspiration Isn't Cheap has released two singles, both in the summer of 2011, 'A Part Of Me', and most recently, 'In Your Head'.
