Inspiration on Fire is what happens when “The Secret”, “As a Man Thinkith” and “The Power of Now” meet an urban audience. Set to be released May 2009, Inspiration on Fire, The brain child of Christian "Thaahum" Abrokwah CEO of Keneteph Entertainment, is a work of love, labor and service. This brilliant concept merges hip hop instrumentals with audio interviews of today leading experts in the area of personal growth and development. The twist here is the message is geared toward an urban audience. An audience virtually looked over when it comes to this form of material. Noticing that there was an obvious missed opportunity, Thaahum decided to take matters in his own hands and developed Inspiration on Fire an audio CD project that is reminiscent of the mix tape format, however with a goal of not only to entertain, but to give the listener a complete understanding of the steps to take in order to have a fulfilled life.
“I figured that if I created a “Hip Hop Version of The Secret,” if you
will, a wider audience would take interest in spiritual concepts that
could improve their life. In putting it together I wanted to make sure the listener can get something out of it no matter what their spiritual background or religious affiliation is,” says Thaahum.
He was fortunate to be able to interview some powerful speakers who contributed something unique to the CD. Each participant was handpicked from his personal arsenal of, personal development coaches, relationship specialists, and successful entrepreneurs who in some way has helped him along his own spiritual journey.
There is enough material for two CD projects the second of which will be released later in 2009. In addition to the CD project there will be a DVD version as well as a print version of the material. Later this year Christian will launch the Inspiration on Fire Tour which will include many of the speakers on the original CD project. With hopes of expanding to schools, community programs, wellness centers, and even prisons.
This is the first ever of a series of personal development mixtapes. Inspiration on Fire Part One: Unlocking the Boss Within features pieces of interviews I did with writers Zo Williams, Stewart Swerdlow, Don Boyer, Mick Moore, Sonia Barrett, and Lisa Murray.
