   Inspired Art Fair's Blurbs
About me:

Inspired Art is a small not-for-profit, London based contemporary arts organisation that curates and manages projects. Since its establishment in 2003, work has included 3 annual Inspired Art Fairs (IAF), The Aprilia Art Challenge and Prelude, a series of monthly showcasing visual art events in Spitalfields for emerging UK artists (see more under other exhibiting opportunities below).

Inspired Art also applies innovative and creative thinking to projects and campaigns for corporate clients who can enhance their business through supporting or sponsoring the arts

The fourth annual IAF, 8th-12th November 06, was held at the magnificent Christchurch, Commercial St, Spitalfields. London. E1. IAF London, showcases independent contemporary photographers, painters, sculptors, and digital artists yet to receive critical recognition

A committee selected all artists; in 2006 they are Jo George (Managing Director, IAF); Susan Brades (Former Director, Hayward Gallery); and Kirsten Dunne (Arts Council)

Those endorsing and championing exhibiting artists this year include:

Jessica Lack (Arts Journalist), Lucy Tyler (Gallerist, Osborn Samuel Gallery), Susan Brades (Former Director Hayward Gallery), Kirsten Dunne (Arts Council officer), Edward Allington (Head of Graduate Sculpture, The Slade School of Art) Alex Proud (Director, Proud Gallery), Prof. Olivier Richon (Professor of Photography, Royal College of Art), Michelle Gonsalves ((Bonhams Curator & Head of Press - Modern & Contemporary), Brian Chalkley (Director MA Fine Art, Chelsea College of Art & Design), Michael Briggs (Sales Director, Max Wigram Gallery), Jo Melvin (Artist), Prof. Glynn Williams (Head of Sculpture, Royal College of Art), Tom Hunter (Artist), David Jones (Artist), Mo Throp (Head of Undergraduate Fine Art, Chelsea College of Art and Design), Linnet Fielding (Art Consultant, Citigroup), Mike Sims (Editor, Art Business Today), Marcel Baettig (Director, Bow Arts Trust & The Nunnery Gallery), Mark Sealy (Director, Autograph ABP), Emma Mahony (Curator, Hayward Gallery), Sara Pearce (Sara Pearce Fine Art), Dot Browning (Committee of Management, Aston Martin Owners Club), Tara Cranswick (CEO, V22 Contemporary Art Collection), Robin Coates (Publishing Director, Centaur Holdings PLC), Andrew Mummery (Director, Andrew Mummery Gallery), Cylena Simmonds (Exhibition Curator Institute of International Visual Arts), Cary Sawhney (Head of Programmes, Institute of International Visual Arts), David Barrie (Director, The Art Fund), Sandra Esquilant (Landlady, The Golden Heart), Michael Keenan (Director, Studio 1.1), Andrew Carmichael (Director, Creative Lewisham Agency), Ann Monks (Director of Marketing, Smith & Williamson Holdings Ltd), Annabelle Bowman (Events Manager, The Old Truman Brewery), Tony De Jasay (Spitalfields Resident), Fiona Wootton (Director, Seb & Fiona), Maggie Pinhorn (Director, Alternative Arts), Till Gins (CEO OISE), Jasmin Pelham (JBPelham PR), Marianne Magnin (Senior Project Finance Advisor Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd), Susie Allen (Artwise Curators Ltd), Michael Metelits (Head of Business Development Goldsmiths), Massimo Granata (Uk General Manager Apilia) Gillian Horn (Spitalfields Resident), Toby Brown (Director, Spitalfields New Development Team), Cathy Dore (Coordinator Artbeat, Allen and Ovary), John Nicolls (Managing Director, London Calling), Matt Hardisty (Naked Communications), Seb Emina (Seb & Fiona), Richard Priestly (Founder/Director, Cell Project Space), Mark Wilsher (Artist/Curator), Flora Fairbairn (Director, Madder Rose Gallery) and Shiela Benjamin (Chief Executive Shoreditch Town Hall)

In 2006 we were pleased to announce the Whitechapel Gallery as our chosen charity and Aprilia as our headline sponsor, and the creation of ' The Aprilia Art Challenge', (in association with Ministry of Sound) a new Nationwide art competition - www.ministryofsound.com/winascooter

OTHER EXHIBITING OPPORTUNITIES At the end of 2005, the Spitalfields regeneration programme was completed. Spitalfields is no longer considered just a Sunday destination it has evolved into one of London's favourite and most vibrant areas. Prelude monthly art events run over the first Fri, Sat and Sun of each month (excluding August), and every weekend in December. All events feature artists working in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, and has been established since June 06. The Spitalfields regeneration resulted in the creation of two new public spaces, one of which hosts Prelude art events in a busy public space. The area also hosts a public art programme, an events programme, and a selection of carefully selected new retailers and restaurants. It represents a good opportunity for artists to show and sell work to both the corporate, local and tourist markets.   What You Get Exhibition stand including lighting, chair, cubed wooden white plinth (for business cards), overnight storage for artwork, for three days. Plus  marketing to over 25,000 contacts on IAF's database/ web site and distribution of Leaflets in London. Cost The price for your stand is £165 +VAT (193.87), no commission taken on works sold. Payment is expected two weeks from confirmation/invoice, and ensures your space. We cannot hold spaces, as the demand is too great. Stand Size The exhibition walls are arranged like a square horse shoe. The back wall measures 2.4 m width x 2. 4m high, and the two side panels are each 1.2 m W and 2.4 m H. This also includes the use of at least one backs of the side panels for hanging work. How To Apply For a Stand Send six jpeg images and a statement or cv about your work to jo@inspiredartfair.com. Or more information about Prelude Art Events go to www.inspiredartfair.com Office contact 020 8374 7318. Prelude events are organised by The Inspired Art Fair Team SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES INSPIRED ART FAIR

The Inspired Art Fair is offering a limited number of sponsorship opportunities to corporations interested in reaching a wide, aesthetic and affluent audience while also supporting the arts. Our audience consists primarily of Londoners of mixed age groups; from professionals in their early 30’s, to gallery owners, businessman, and students, many being regular art fair collectors, as well as at least half being first time art fair attendees and buyers. Opportunities range from branding of show items, to associate sponsorship, to headline sponsorship.

We also have opportunities for those with smaller budgets

For more information on sponsorship opportunities for Inspired Art Fair 2005 please contact Jo George: jo@inspiredartfair.com
