Original, driving, and entertaining, Instant Hobo fuses the best of alt- country, folk, rock, jazz, and more into a band they label "AZ's Americana Power Trio". The name Instant Hobo derives from the group's desire to play and go in any direction without worrying about crossing traditional boundaries; essentially drifting like musical hobos! In this band, technical ability combines with a fun show and top notch songwriting to create a one of a kind musical experience.
Instant Hobo performs at a wide variety of college and civic events, nightclubs, dive bars, coffee houses, theatres, folk listening rooms, marathons, and more. Select events include: The PF. Chang’s Rock ‘n Roll Marathon (voted in top 9 bands to see), Paradise Valley Community College, City of Avondale Amphitheatre, 3TV (along with MTV hosts), the Tom Leykis syndicated radio show, The Paisley Violin, Hollywood Alley, Fiddler’s Dream, Mama Java's, Goat Head Saloon, Club Mardis Gras, and many others.
Thankful Birds (your favorite indie/jazz/blues/can't-make-up-their-minds band) are making sweet music this Friday at Hollywood Alley. It's a great bill with Haymarket Squares, Green Lady Killers and the Sugar Thieves.
