Kavarna, in Czech, means café or coffee house.
Kava is Czech for coffee.
Ernest Hemingway
frequented Kavarna Slavia in Prague when the
lost generation was trying to find
itself.
Kavarna in Oakhurst, at the corner of
Oakview Road and East Lake Drive, in Decatur, Georgia is
a Coffeehouse, Tavern, Wine Shop, & Music Venue that features (in addition to the obvious coffees, beer, and wine) a pleasing variety of sandwiches, snacks & pastries, & and a great environment for relaxing and enjoying
an evening out.
Our presence in the Music Scene is growing. We are happy to host the weekly
Atlanta Songwriters Series. Shows start every Saturday at 8:00 PM.
We are plugging-in for music on Fridays & offering a diverse selection of live music Thursdays too.
