INSTINCT Clothing, originally established in South Africa in 1979 by World Surfing Champion Shaun Tomson, was one of the most recognized surf brands in the world. Throughout the 1980's INSTINCT could be found on every surfer in every part of the world. After nearly two decades of lying dormant, the INSTINCT brand is back. It draws from the history that made it so popular during that era. Reaching back to it's roots INSTINCT focuses on surfing, skateboarding and other action sports that now dominate the youth market. INSTINCT is back with a NEW and smaller focus. Originally designed as a hard core surf brand, INSTINCT Clothing's focus now will be on groms, the market segment of toddler age boys through tweens age 14. This market has been overlooked for too long. There is a great opportunity here to embrace this school-age group of trendsetters. We intend to fill that need with sturdy materials and energetic designs without the in-your-face graphics that are so prevalent in todays designs. Our goal is to offer parent-friendly logo-driven sportswear for style-savvy young groms! This age group needs a voice! There are too many negative vibes in the world today.
