Hey guys...I've finally gotten around to updating my friend requests on here...Sorry I took so long. But anyway, that show we played in Brooklyn was fun. Interesting place, right? I'm sure we'll cross paths again. Hope all is well, PD
Thanks again for having us last night, wish we could have all been there, but what can you do? I liked your set a lot, but I can't believe I missed that fucking song...
for all my Connecticut friends out there: I have committed myself to revitalizing the music scene within CT to help those that may otherwise go unnoticed. With the help of Robert @ CTLiveMusic.com. Still in its early stages as a web presence, the resources are falling into place to assist local artists gain the recognition they deserve. Still ironing out all the details, but the concept is amazing and sure to take off like wild fire... If you or your friend is a musician in CT looking for more exposure or you just want to share your work with others, get in touch. Also send details to CTLiveMusic.com. Together we can make a difference...(Yeah I know, someone else said that before)
Would you guys be interested in throwing together a compilation CD to hand out at the show on Weds? I'm guessing you'll be down, considering we'll put it together and everything. We were thinking of putting something together with a few of our songs, a few of your songs, and a few of the Bonheures songs (and the other band too, though I don't know their name) and just having that to hand out at the show, that way people will be forced to become deeply immersed in, and wildly obsessed with our music. What do you think? We wouldn't even need to charge for it, just hand it out, you know? Let us know so we can throw your songs on there,
You know, I have been a Selly fan before there was even a band for this most talented individual. I have seen him move between several bands, I have been there when he wrote his own music. I was there during heart-break and I was there during the joys of writing. It has come to an accumulation of skill, thought, love, passion, and heart-felt sincerity; it is all present in your songs. The sound is amazing...it truly is a beautiful blend of emotion and feeling. Mike, you are in something that I feel is going to be big. The best part about you though, is that you do not care if you become something huge, you care if the feelings and music sounds right and that is what will carry you and your friends(I loathe to use band members because it feels like you are more then just members) to beyond the norms of a band. You are more then a band and the songs here portray that...you are men coming together to put emotion into word and sound. It is truly beautiful the songs you have here and I cannot wait for more to come!!! From the beginning we were bros, and till the end I will remain such!! Go Selly! Love Sponge! Chef! and any other name you have been known but to me, you will always be a brother! Great music, cannot wait to see you in a gig!
damn, i'm impressed guys, sounds fuckin good. lol, i didn't even know that you could sing ben. heh. keep up the good work. hopefully i'll see ya at the pig next time i visit ct.
