Martin ‘Stone Cold’ Crane - Guitar and Vocals

An enormously talented guitarist, and gutsy vocalist, Martin brings both rock and jazz influences to the show. Martin’s stage presence needs to be seen to be believed, he is a larger than life character in many ways. He counts, among his influences Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, Toto, Mr Big and Journey. Martin plays Ibanez guitars through Line Six Flextone amplification. Martin has also played with Bedside Manor.

Vacancy - Bass and Vocals

Phil Millichamp - Drums

Phil was born in Birmingham, although archaeologists can’t be sure of the exact date, the latest scientific techniques estimate somewhere around 200 BC. In 1976, after sitting his ‘New Town Citizenship exams’ he was granted a visa to live and work in Milton Keynes Since then, Phil played with numerous local bands including the delightfully named ‘Beaver’, and signed prog rockers ‘Grey Lady Down’. Phil’s influnces include veteran drummers Buddy Rich, Gene Kruper and Joe Morrello along with more recent skin flickers - Moose (BFMV), Keith Carlock (Steely Dan) and Matt Alan (Independent) Phil plays Yamaha and Sonor kits comprising the following - Yamaha Oak Custom. 10",12" ,14",16",22". (Main) Sonor Force 3005. 10",12",14",16",22". (Reserve) Yamaha hardware inc Pedals, Zildjian A Custom Cymbals, Zildjian John Otto Signature sticks, Protection racket cases. Phil is predominantly a rock drummer combining power and dexterity with taste and a firm sense of dynamics, being able to control his output to suit the song.

   About Insurrection

Insurrection are based in North Buckinghamshire/Northants and are in the process of establishing themselves on the scene and building a core base of listeners.

Comprising the classic power trio line up of guitar, bass and drums, Insurrection deliver a blistering set of highly charged rock and blues in the style of some of the classic rock bands from the seventies and eighties.

Insurrection understand the need to tailor their music to your customers taste. Consequently, they can perform either a covers set, or a predominantly original set. The feel can be biased either towards rock or blues, or a mixture of both. The quality of Insurrection’s output can be sampled on their demo CD - ‘The Revolution Starts Here’.

Insurrection have started to add some sixties influenced material to their repertoire should the occasion demand, including a number of soul classics.

Above all, Insurrection’s main aim is to entertain the audience with fine musicianship, humour and a definite sense of enjoying the occasion.

Insurrection are self sufficient in terms of PA for small to medium sized gigs and have access to equipment for larger venues. They would be keen to bring their show to entertain your customers with covers from the likes of Bon Jovi, Bad Company and Journey, along with a selection of their own material.
