INTALECT: started with hip hop when he was about 11 years old, writing lyrics for his friends who were a little older than he was and liked some of the topics he wrote about. Eventually he got tired of just being the writer for the group, and after many failed attempts to get on the tracks he had wrote, he left the group and decided he was going to try to do his own thing. By age 14 he had already started recording singles and mixtape tracks with a friend on his computer with acid pro 2.0. and by age 16 he felt he was ready to go out on his own again, this time performing in local underage nightclubs, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA's and even started making a name for himself by winning the titles of a few local freestyle battles . Shortly after, he started recording his underground demos/singles/albums. Now, here it is 8 years later and he's still on the grind working on his debut album, recording, mixing, mastering, promoting and distributing all on his own, as well as manageing his own music and setting up his own shows.
In January of 2008 Intalect signed a Record Deal with Mile High Records, LLC. After a few complications and negligence on the behalf of the record label the contract was voided and he left the label in July of 2008. He is now an unsigned artist again and is working on his album, "Can't Hold Me: The Autobiography Of Joel Brown".
He (INTALECT) has been noted by past producers he has worked with as "A producers Dream Artist" for the fact that he can flow most any style over most any beat... his style is every style and is the essence of the word "versatile".
With his work ethic and dedication to his music combined with his style of versatility, perfected over the 13 years of his underground career, he is garaunteed to succeed in the industry.
