Intensity Shift was formed early in the winter of 2001 by Leonard Lewis (vocals and bass guitar), Terry Greene (guitars) and Clinton Dodson (drums/percussion).

 

Listeners of an IS performance are caught-away in an epic auditory odyssey, in which heavy, hard-hitting compositions transition to the surreal and beyond by way of the most beautiful, captivating passages imaginable.  Driving beats, artistic bass lines, screaming, always imaginative guitar, spatially intriguing keyboard performances and ethereal vocals combine to fashion a sound most unique to the Christian music genre.  Engaging, sometimes, profound lyrics complete the IS experience with positive, compelling, allegoric tales of life, love, loneliness and fear...all while pointing to a hope found only in Jesus Christ. This isn't light and breezy stuff, but a creative expression of our human existence.

 

We want to be God's good and faithful servants in all aspects of life, including our musicianship.  To be worthy of such a title, we have to maintain a consistent level of creative excellence and a passion for timeless music. - Terry

Band Member Bios:

 

Clinton Dodson is the drummer for Intensity Shift. Born in Denver, CO, Clinton has lived most of his life in middle Tennessee. He is a musical mentor and big brother to several young men in his home church where he also serves on the Praise Team.  His dream is to "...play music full-time for the Lord, and never look back".  Clinton lives in Ashland City, TN with his wife, son and two beautiful daughters.

 

Terry Greene is the band's guitar maestro and principal creative influence.  Outside of his involvement with Intensity Shift, Terry is a guitar teacher and a video animation contributor for his church's television program.  "To me, music is an expression of who we are before the Lord", says Terry... "Its a special fellowship when God places the right people on a common path to form something larger than we could imagine on our own". Terry lives in Clarksville, TN.

 

Leonard Lewis is the band's vocalist, bassist and primary lyricist.  He is a Nashville native and currently resides in Joelton, TN.  He leads worship part-time for his church.  "I love sharing our music with other people", Leonard explains... "At times, the experience can be overwhelming...  When I make that spiritual connection with an audience and I know that a life is being changed forever, my joy is complete!  That may sound foolish to some people, but I know it happens - because from time to time, mine is the life that is changed".  Leonard has a wonderful wife, a stepson and twins (son and daughter - God's double blessing).
