I'm a genre-blender with a pinch of familiarity. I can't remember a time when I wasn't continuously making tunes. My grade one teachers had to tell my mother to somehow get me to stop humming all the time in class, it was disturbing the other kids. I'm learning cubase so that I can blend singing, nylon string guitar and other instruments with electronic sounds. This will be liberating for my songwriting. I use many different techniques for writing songs, and it's more of a sub-conscious thing. I just kinda stumble through them as they try to get my attention.
I love dancing with fire - poi chains, staffs, and aspire to learn fire-hoola. I paint, fimo and sculpey, design web graphics, make my own clothing and jewelry. I try to make my life more and more cruelty-free as I go along. I aim to get van or bus-like vehicle this year that I can convert to recycled veggie oil. Right now I bike everywhere with my guitar on my back, but you know, that sort of limits me with the amplifiers and other cities. =p
I'm looking for some talented musicians and producers who are into a cruelty-free lifestyle as well. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for yet but I think I will know when it happens! Some ideas are... classically influenced metal, folk, celtic, darkpsy, ambient, dub, industrial, other. Cellos, pianos, poi!

Hey Misha, you know, I read your blog just as I had let myself get fully dragged out with the Montreal busking scene, and it totally picked me up! It's wonderful how you're always ready to be right there and present for people with your music. When I get tired, I'd just as well have it that no one stops when I'm busking. But, I read your blog and I got inspired to park myself right beside the Dairy Queen in Westmount where there's no escaping an audience of kids and their parents (busking is more or less not permitted in Westmount, but you can usually get away with it for a few hours or days or weeks). Thanks for the courage and you stay brave!
