As we embark on our second 20 years, everyone at InterAct has their eyes squarely focused on the future. What kind of change will a new President bring? Will the two-party political machine create more gridlock in Washington? Will radical extremism and religious fundamentalism relax or intensify? Will attitudes about race, religion, diversity, poverty, sexual orientation and violence change significantly? And if so, in what direction? It is with these questions in mind that we have selected our 2008/2009 season...
Founded in 1988, InterAct's aim is to educate, as well as entertain its audiences, by producing world-class, thought-provoking productions, and by using theatre as a tool to foster positive social change in the school, the workplace and the community. Through its artistic and educational programs, InterAct seeks to make a significant contribution to the cultural life of Philadelphia and to the American theatre.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein spins a comic and moving tale about the pitfalls that await female political appointees. On the eve of Dr. Lyssa Dent Hughes' nomination as Surgeon General, a witty and dangerous cast of characters stir the calm waters of her Georgetown home. And when sexy "post-feminist" Quincy Quince enters the picture, even Lyssa's husband Walter can't be trusted.
Starring: Kevin Bergen, Keith Conallen, Jennie Eisenhower, Kaci Fannin, Carl Granieri, Tom McCarthy, Kathryn Peterson, Tobias Segal,
