| General | Manga and anime, though i tend to look at it with a more 'innocent' eye, say my friends. Anything theaticallly or artisitly based. Like: travelling, swimming, 'getting caught in the rain' and the countyside in warm weather. LOVE: Good food, real fires and being inside on a rainy day with a cat in my lap and a good book, with chocolate within my reach. Oh, and I write obessively, it's a passion. | | Music | Green Day, Robbie Williams, random Rock Bands I can't name... yeah, I'm sadly not that much into music- doesn't mean I won't dance, though! | | Movies | Action, mystery, chick flicks, historical romance, drama- horror and comedy are my favourites. I'm not picky. LOVE Pride and Predjudice, Romeo + Juliet (it's more funny than tragic), Mean Girls, LOTR, Narnia, STAR WARS!! I AM GOING TO LANCASTER UNIVERSITY!!
Sorry, had to get that out.
I am Kat, (Meow) but people also call me Kate. Contrary to popular believe, these names are actually both short for Katherine. Anyone who insists 'Kate is short for Katie!' is stupid, (sorry, it's true) because the name Katie comes from Katherine! Katie didn't exist on it's own until the last few decades!!!!!
BTW, I hate being called Katie. The only people that can get away with calling me it are my nearest and dearest... and only because I won't kill them.
I AM GOING TO BE A WRITER >watch this space< someday. I feel that if I say it that definately, something will eventually happen. I am determined! Those who are unfortunate enough to know me really well will know that my first love is my computer, the archive of my creative writing.
I LOVE my best friends and family- they mean the world to me even if I don't always tell them. I'm not much of a touchy-feeling, cheesy, lovey-dovey romantic person. I tend to keep my emotions bottled up- and often it's for the best. I am 1/4 Scottish and that red-blooded anger is explosive! I also have a very sharp tongue, and can be really mean, although I try not to.
I am incurably clumsy. (You know, falling up stairs, walking into open doors etc... nothing weird) but never seem to (touch wood!) have anything serious happen to me. I spring back up like a very slow ball!
I work for Waterstones and I love my job! Which sure says a lot about me. BUT I also adore the creative arts, and would totally go into theatre if it wasn't for my Mum- she doesn't approve, I'm happy writing, she's paying my uni fees, and irritably, she's always right. Yep, that's my ma.
