Paul Eluard. Georges Perec. ...and many others, including Lautreamont (can't help mentioning him). but in fact i read much more nonfiction than fiction.

About me...... I live in Moscow and I'm a teacher. I teach English. Currently very much in love with a brilliant guy from San Francisco. wow, still can't believe that happened at last - I'm in love! unfortunately, I can't spend much time with him now - this summer I'm graduating from the university in my country and trying to write a thesis about outsider art. Outsider art is of big importance nowadays: it provides means for social integration for those, who were once excluded from "normal" society: madmen, prisoners, people with developmental disabiities etc. Now the main target of studying outsider art is promoting the work of these people and encouraging those who have money to buy this art more and more, for this kind of expression to become more popular and for the general public to learn that every single person (even if he or she has Down's syndrome, autism or psychic illnesses) has the right to be creative, express his/herself and communicate with others. For many of those people art is the only way to tell others what's on their minds. No one should be lost or forgotten. No one should be locked away from the world. EVERY person has a universe inside, and people shouldn't be mocked at. That's it.
About the other stuff I like... well, I like staring at abstract paintings (especially at those painted by Paul Klee and Joan Miro - these two are my favourite creators ever) and learning about other kinds of art (especially contemporary art - ha, it's easy to say "It's all quasi-conceptual trash, I don't understand it", but I want to understand and believe me, there are a lot of interesting things there for those who dig). I also love Asian extreme cinema. The hyper-sensitive Shinya Tsukamoto's my favourite filmmaker ever. Sogo Ishii's my other favourite (see 'Electric dragon 80000v and you'll understand what I mean). Kiyoshi Kurosawa's a genius... Korean cinema's also cool, my favourite films being "3-iron" and "Oldboy" (everybody likes Oldboy!! ;D) I also like many of the Occidental and Russian movies, especially old ones. Luis Bunuel was the most badass director ever. "Toby Dammit" by Fellini is hell of a movie. German expressionist cinema is stunning - can be compared only to German expressionist paintings, which is absolutely crazy painting!! the most important and influential movement of all the XX century avant-garde I may say, some think that it can be beaten only by Surrealism but damn! Expressionists often had much more taste ;P of American movies... hmmm... Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch is superhuman!! and it features one of the most kickass soundtracks of all time.
wah... and I like experimental music. I listen to much less music than I used to when I was younger, but I can say that my 3 favourite bands are Bauhaus (2006 was a Bauhaus year... I visited their shows in Berlin and London), Einstuerzende Neubauten (the spirit of Berlin!!) and Swans (who had Jarboe... the goddess).
