He was a talented young man He was a generous young man He was gifted and from a tender young age He had rhythm in his hands
And when I met him, in the club that night As we talked, I felt in my heart That one day I’ll be watching him Playing with the Stars He shines, He shines, He shines
Kostas, play for me …
Thank you for the music Thank you for the rhythm Thank you for the spirit Thank you for the dedication Ευχαριστώ
And when I met you, in the club that night As we talked, I felt in my heart That one day I’ll be watching you Playing with the Stars You shine …

Hope you guys have a great time this year at the Fest. You all are in our prayers. Hope to see you guys again real soon. Peace and Love from the Soul Rebels!!!
I am glad to see that the memory of Kostas remains among us. He was a great sweet and soft spoken guy. Although he was presented as a child prodigy he was to my opinion a late bloomer, he was the kind of musician that slowly but surely with hard work, consistency and deep thinking was going to leave an unforgettable mark in the music. I had the pleasure to play with him on one of the now legendary K. Maginas' tours all over Greece. Kostas consciousness, dedication to music, humility and kindness made the performances and the tour easy and joyful. Like a great bottle of wine that gets better and better while aging and becoming a legendary vintage he was on its way to greatness. Unfortunately a stupid behaviour that our society excuses so easily destroy not only a life but the opportunity for all of us to witness drums playing at its best. it is always easy to destroy but so so difficult to create beauty. Kostas will remain in my thoughts and heart and everytime I come to Greece I think of him, everytime I see a young drummer I think of him, when people ask me who's a great jazz drummer in Greece his name always pump up as if he were alive and he will remain for the eternity among the young jazz players that lost their lives too fast... I know he is having a jam in Heaven with Scott Lafaro, Clifford Brown and Richie Powell.... May the memory of Kostas never die and may his death changes the mentality in Greece.
