¡O Bailan todos, o no baila nadie! - A slogan written by the Tupamaros, a revolutionary movement in Uruguay, more than 30 years ago. Either everyone dances or no one dances! A slogan that deserves repeating, not only as a revolutionary critique of class society, but also in an attempt to define the music and ideas of The (international) Noise Conspiracy.
The (international) Noise Conspiracy a revolutionary rock group proudly follow in the tradition of combining music and culture with politics. Just like Joe Hill used the well-known songs by the Salvation Army to get his message out to the streets, we use the sounds and aesthetics offered by popular culture to amplify our manifestos. We are not afraid to challenge the stagnant music industry, the same music industry that killed Phil Ochs, or the political structures that makes everyday life a health risk.
All we ever wanted was just everything, all we ever needed was just everyone. Never afraid take our music and ideas anywhere, The (international) Noise conspiracy is the only band you will ever find playing both at venues like the most prestigious European festivals, jazz festivals and the hip rock clubs of Paris or Berlin, but also at illegal rock clubs in China or youth clubs in south central Los Angeles. We feel that what we play and what we say isnt tied down to one place, and that our view of the world is shared by people everywhere. Therefore everywhere is where we will be.
From desperate times comes radical minds. We believe that everyone has something to say, and that there is nothing that isnt political in a world where everyday life has become a struggle for survival for so many of us. We are living in the darkest of times right now. Politics are neither trendy nor fashionable, but politics mean life or death. To be an inspiration to us political ideas must be combined with passion, energy, feelings and dreams of freedom on this side of heaven. We all want to change THIS world. Our dreams of changing the world might seem just as naive as a rock thrown at an Israeli tank by a Palestinian kid, or a slogan questioning the idea of private property sprayed on the wall outside of a G8 meeting. But all these expressions are just as needed as they are justified. So Lets all share our dreams, because your dreams and ours together are the blueprints of the radical manifestos and revolutionary movements that will turn this world upside down. We want to play our songs to everyone who wants something better than what we have today.
The (international) Noise Conspiracy has no desire of being the leaders at the front of any political movement or any political party. However we want to play our part in the movement thats going to change this world. As the struggle continues we want to compose the soundtrack to the fall of world capitalism and the crash of the stock market. This wall will fall! Time is on our side because it has proven that no system can last forever. History is being made everyday and the future is in our hands. Lets make history right now!
