founded by Patti Patton-Bader, mother of Sgt. Brandon Varn, who has recently returned from a year's deployment to Iraq. Soldiers' Angels is an all volunteer run organization, incorporated in the state of Nevada. Soldiers' Angels started in June of 2003. Hundreds of thousands of American troops are deployed in hostile and remote regions of the world, including the Middle East, Afghanistan, Africa, Guantanamo Bay and on ships throughout international waters. OPERATION GRATITUDE seeks to lift troops' morale, and bring a smile to their faces by sending care packages to service members overseas. OPERATION GRATITUDE care packages contain food, toiletries, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with good wishes of love and support.

We love u so much and pray each morning and night... your achievements are the stories of history.... your courage, honour, valour, duty all the words that our forefathers and mothers lived up to in our constitutions. On this day... just like way back in September 2001- we are still here in the millions praying and loving u... and always will. Today is such a difficult day for so many globally serving abroad and on our homelands as many try to come to terms with the heartbreak of Fort Hood. However, I personally believe that God will preside in the long run... and I am going to do what we do best... love u, support u, watch your back and make sure all your successes get out to the world. Iraq is the centrepiece of democracy... when so many said it would not be so. Afgahnistan will be drug free and the Afghan peoples finally able to have a life. And u ... each and every one serving abroad... and at home... are the authors of our history. We love u so much.

You have created humanity where I truly thought God was giving up on... and that is Iraq- women are now equal to men and girl children have as many rights as boy children- and the world knows this; yes, they will have to fight old traditions but women are also true warriors- and they want their children to have all the lifestyles that we have in our free world. Can you imagine... North America is the youngest on the planet and just look what we have- our forefathers and mothers came with their bare hands, a Bible, raw courage and a dream... and look what we have on this day. Now we are making Afghanistan a reality and the Afghans are trusting us because they see our faces day in and day out right there with them on the ground- they see you - your uniforms with that badge of your country- your conviction, your intelligence; your duty, your honour and your perseverance- they know you're going the whole damn distance. We love u so much. Congratulations on your Iraq victory and all the incredible successes in Afghanistan and all over the hot spots of the world and on our homelands. You are the face of our freedoms, our flags, God and our countries... people in these zones see you and know you will protect them each and every day... with your own lives ... and you do. We have millions around the world who love and support you... and we research the real news and recognize all the incredible achievements.
Now telling the peoples of Afghanistan (like we did in Iraq)... they must stand up and move forward and empower themselves and their own future- they must truly step forward and help us help them stop the terror. It is no good for us to build roads, schools, hospitals etc. if they allow their homegrown terror to destroy all and them with it. Their children are their future and the world needs all our children for better tomorrows.

Zimbabwe begged u to come and save them like you did in Iraq and Afganistan. Persecuted people do not have internet- but universal hope and courage and dreams passes all boundaries. And the worlds suffering know... that our boots to the ground military, militia and reservists are the real deal- right there each and every day- even dying for them. That is the ultimate hero.
