I'd also like to meet and befriend the poor in my city. So that's what I'm doing. I am beginning a journey to get to know the poor, the hungry, and the homeless, learning from them and learning how to help at our John 3:16 Rescue Mission.
Jesus taught, if you want to know Him, be in community with the poor.
He said "I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me."
