As you may already know, good pal of mine Michael “Boof/Wolf/Spokez/Wheelz” Hughes was in a car accident in August 2006 at the age of 19 which left him a paraplegic, paralysed from the chest down. As modern medicine makes incredible leaps and bounds, the opportunity for cutting edge spinal treatment in India has become possible for Michael, giving hope that he may one day walk and double kick again.
The first in a series of fundraising attempts will be a killer show at The Tote in Collingwood on the 28th of November TOMORROW FRIGGIN NIGHT, where a whole bunch of rock and rollers will be showcasing their talents in order to help Boof. All proceeds go directly to the cause!
The night will give you an opportunity to help Boof get to India so he can one day stop playing Refused drum beats on his lap and put his money where his mouth is on a real drum kit. You will have the chance to see bands like The Cassanova’s, Cosmic Psychos and Padmore Adams as well as getting to hang out with sweet dudes like Darcy or Skinny Nick which will be more amazing than Sigur Ros.
Mike Hughes has been there for me for a long time, and is someone who means the most to me so please, any support is incredibly appreciated.

The Bag Raiders hit Eurotrash this Saturday! Their debut EP featuring “Fun Punch” is currently being flogged on JJJ and is included on the Ministry of Sound Annual 2008. They’ve remixed Midnight Juggernauts, Sneaky Sound System, The Valentinos – included on the Kitsune Maison 3 compilation and released as a 12 on the same label, KIM (from the Presets) and Muscles – both out now on Bang Gang 12 inches.
