InterSession is a faith based dance and color guard company designed to engage youth who may otherwise "slip through the cracks in society" through various movement-art mediums. It's a difficult program...only the toughest survive - an excellent atmosphere to challenge youth to rise above their current circumstances, push through pain, encourage their peers, accept discipline, and, above all, to rely on God to take their hand and walk them through life's challenges.
InterSession's latest production, Sabachthani, is finally here! The debut performance on April 30th was absolutely magical! Sabachthani is a dramatic musical presentation that takes and in-depth look at life on the streets, and the consequences of falling prey to Satan's wicked schemes. When a father's failures drive him to suicide, Jesus meets his estranged family at the grave in a deeply moving invitation to rest in the safety of walking with Him.
Sabachthani is as visually breathtaking as it is spiritually moving. High impact guard skills and various dance styles capture the mood of each scene, and draw the audience into the story - right to the heart of God.

As I was sitting here thinking of all the things I was thankful for, I believe the Lord spoke and said. Have you ever asked me what I'm thankful for? I believe he said, I am thankful for my servants, who, through adversity, still worship me. I know and understand the difficulties that happen, because, remember, I was also tempted, in all points, as you have been. I am thankful for my children who overcome. I am thankful for those who have died for my kingdom. I am thankful for those who don't look to the things of this world, but have given themselves to me. I am thankful for your heart and your life that you have given to me. I cherish it above all else, for those whose hearts have been given to me, I will surely use in my kingdom. Maybe you can't cook. Maybe your rolls flopped today, when you wanted to make them special for your family. Maybe your pumpkin pie burned. Maybe you can't be in two places at one time. But I see your heart child, and I want you to know, that I love you with a love that is so indescribable, that you can't even fathom it. Yes, child, I am thankful for you. I pray and intercede for you. Nothing can take you out of my hand, because I clench my hand tight when the enemy comes and tries to steal you away. Worship me today!!! I am with you as you fill your plate. I am with you when you eat your turkey, mash potatoes, giblet gravy, dressing, olives, and green bean casserole, and Wal-Mart store-bought rolls. I am with you when you start on the dessert table. Oh, the pumpkin pies, and the pecan pies. Everything I make is good, don't you think!? I am with you as you sit around the table with those you love. I am with you when your heart breaks because there are some missing at that table. So, remember, as you enjoy today, I am there at your Thanksgiving meal with you. Observing and sharing today right beside you.
If
we could give you one thing in life, we would give you the ability to see
yourself through our eyes; only then would you realize how special you are to
us!!!

You know Janis, God knows what is within our heart; "WE" (on the other hand) DO NOT! ABBA CAN & DOES (at times) "ALLOW" us to go through Trials and Temptations as a way of bringing to the forefront "ALL" of things in our lives that are IMPURE [AND] UNGODLY. Amen! When we (as Christians) repent.....[TRULY REPENT] of our SIN and learn from our failures, then and ONLY THEN do we place ourselves in position to grow into Christian Maturity. (I believe that Christian Maturity is NOT [solely] based on "How long we have been saved" or how much Word we have in our head, (because Satan WILL try AND challenge the Word in our head), [BUT], on the contrary, it is based on HOW STRONG the Word.....which is in our "Heart".....being spoken BOLDLY from our mouth....."IN FAITH ...BELIEVING" [that WHAT we say] WILL come to pass...........in our lives). When Trials and Temptations come rushing in "Like a Flood", to ACTUALLY SEE God's hand MOVING.....Changing & Rearranging circumstances in "OUR" favor, [is to me] what defines "Christian Maturity"!
The Bibles says "Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. (James 1:13 Amp.) Hmmmm??!?

Janis, Trials and Tribulations will either make us More Holy, or More Sinful depending [GREATLY] on our Relationship to God/with God, Amen? Because when testings come (and they WILL come "IF" you are Walking right), WE will either TRUST God's purposes and FIND Peace, OR "we" can Trust in our OWN plans, start walking in the "Vanity of our mind", thereby developing a NEGATIVE OUTLOOK or DISPOSITION and thus DEVELOPING A BITTER, and CYNICAL heart. We may NOT like our situation (and in MOST cases "we" WON'T), BUT, because WE "Are CHRISTIANS"; because we are a "Chosen Generation; because we are a Royal Priesthood; because we are a Holy Nation and a Peculiar People"...WE... "SHOULD"... LOVE...GOD and WE...MUST...TRUST..."HIS"...WILL FOR OUR LIVES!
The Bible says "And going a little further, He threw Himself upon the ground on His face and prayed saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from Me, nevertheless, not what I will [not what I desire], but as You will and desire" (Matt.26:39 AMP). The Bible also says "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome" (Jer.29:11 AMP). Is that where the phrase "Trusting God's Purposes" came from......Hmmm?!!?

Fear has been trying to enter my heart as I look around at the darkness that is attempting to cover the earth. I remember in the 70's thinking, "How much worse can it get?" But I am reminded of Someone named Jesus. He came to bring His light where there is darkness. On the day He died, the darkness was manifested as the sky became black while He was dying for all of us. He dispelled the darkness as it crept into the atmosphere when He was resurrected. Before His crucifixion, He proclaimed, I am the Light of the World. So,as we see darkness rising just remember His Light is greater. His love is purer. His victory is coming. This morning, I saw this verse, and it just lept out-----
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you, and HIS GLORY will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Is 60:1-3
As I was just about to post this, I was reminded of the song, This lttle light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. I think we should change one word in it. Instead of "little" light, it should be "big" Light. We have the Light of the World living within us. As we allow Him to live through us, millions of huge spotlights are going to help those who are in darkness find the Way, the Truth and the Life, JESUS. And I'm praying this Light will be so bright that it will blind the enemies and send them into confusion.
