Eight years ago, this amazing redhead walked into my life and changed it forever, and because of her I am a better person. She's inspired me to overcome a life-changing injury and the despair of depression to pull my head out of my butt, redefine who and what I am, and what I am capable of accomplishing. Her love has brought out a side of me I didn't even know existed. I owe her so much; she is my life and my future. Plus, she's great to share a bottle of wine with!

Movies
At this critical time in my life, I've recently seen two movies that have affected me profoundly. The first (don't laugh) was 'Runaway Bride'. "I guarantee there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me." This is why I will always fight for the my "once in a lifetime"
The other was 'Away From Her'. In this one, a man is faced with the tragedy of slowly losing his wife to Alzheimer's. In the process, she becomes enamored with another man in the nursing home. It breaks his heart to have to watch this 'romance' unfold before his eyes, but when the man's wife takes him out of the home due to finances and his own wife sinks into a depression, he ends up bringing the man in for visits just to make his wife happy. In the end, his great love for his wife is rewarded by a brief moment of clarity and the knowledge that he indeed is the one true love of her life.

2 weeks ago, I had an assignment to shoot a book signing by Gary Moore, author of "Playing With The Enemy". I've since gone to see him speak, and we've become fast friends. His book is a baseball story, but it's really about second chances. Life has a funny way of putting people in your life at certain times; my life is all about second chances right now.
